# Assignment Tracker vs CollegeCal

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CollegeCal at 75% against Assignment Tracker's 31%. CollegeCal also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Assignment Tracker's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (98 vs 10). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Assignment Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and CollegeCal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assignment Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Assignment Tracker has 98 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Assignment Tracker's written reviews are positive against 75% of CollegeCal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Assignment Tracker ships an update every 8 days, CollegeCal every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
