Put a name to the bird in your photo and learn more about the species behind it. Bird Identifier brings photo-based identification, a species library and previous results together for curious observers and birdwatchers. Take a photo with your camera or upload an existing picture to request an AI identification. Explore the suggested species and read about its name, classification, distinguishing features and habitat. Compare the information with the bird you photographed to make your observation more meaningful. Continue learning in the bird library. Browse information about different species, including songbirds, waterbirds and birds of prey. Discover how their appearance and habitats differ, and use the species descriptions to develop your interest in the natural world. Return to previous results to review the birds you have already explored. The library and previous results can be used offline; identifying a new bird photo requires an internet connection. Keep this distinction in mind when preparing for time outdoors. Identification is based on the image you provide. A clear photo with the bird visible gives the analysis more useful detail. Lighting, distance and image quality can affect results, and AI suggestions may be incorrect. Treat a result as a starting point for learning rather than a guaranteed identification, and compare it with other reliable field references when needed. Paid access is required before your first identification. No free bird identifications are included. Review the purchase details shown in the app before proceeding. Some features and content require an in-app purchase.
