# FoodUS vs Prep'd

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FoodUS at 100% against Prep'd's 14%. FoodUS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Prep'd's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FoodUS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prep'd has 40 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of FoodUS's written reviews are positive against 14% of Prep'd's.
