# Flixcribir vs Plotagon Studio

The clearest difference is monetization model: Plotagon Studio at free with in-app purchases against Flixcribir's subscription. Plotagon Studio also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (765 vs 95). Flixcribir's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (69% vs 53%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flixcribir sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Plotagon Studio sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Plotagon Studio holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plotagon Studio has 765 ratings behind it against 95, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Flixcribir's written reviews are positive against 53% of Plotagon Studio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flixcribir ships an update weekly, Plotagon Studio every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
