# Tournament vs TierMaker.com

The clearest difference is rating: TierMaker.com at 4.2 against Tournament's 3.8. TierMaker.com also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 309). Tournament's advantage is review sentiment (19% vs 8%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tournament sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days and TierMaker.com sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TierMaker.com holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TierMaker.com has 1.6K ratings behind it against 309, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Tournament's written reviews are positive against 8% of TierMaker.com's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tournament ships an update every 4 days, TierMaker.com weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
