# Dynamic Timer vs KeyHour

The clearest difference is rating: KeyHour at 4.5 against Dynamic Timer's 1.0. KeyHour also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (54 vs 1). Dynamic Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dynamic Timer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and KeyHour sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KeyHour holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KeyHour has 54 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dynamic Timer's written reviews are positive against 94% of KeyHour's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dynamic Timer ships an update monthly, KeyHour every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
