# Dynamic Timer vs Live Shortcut

The clearest difference is rating: Live Shortcut at 3.8 against Dynamic Timer's 1.0. Live Shortcut also leads on ratings volume (9 vs 1). Dynamic Timer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 70%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dynamic Timer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Live Shortcut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Live Shortcut holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Shortcut has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dynamic Timer's written reviews are positive against 70% of Live Shortcut's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dynamic Timer ships an update monthly, Live Shortcut every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
