# Green Amendments vs ref

The clearest difference is update cadence: ref at weekly against Green Amendments's every 3 weeks. ref also leads on ratings volume (9 vs 1). Green Amendments's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Green Amendments against 4.9 for ref. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ref has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Green Amendments ships an update every 3 weeks, ref weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
