# Almanac vs Re

The clearest difference is update cadence: Almanac at every 2 months against Re's every 13 months. Almanac also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Almanac sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Re sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Almanac ships an update every 2 months, Re every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
