# Pistol Shot Timer vs ShotDiary

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShotDiary at every 2 months against Pistol Shot Timer's every 13 months. Pistol Shot Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pistol Shot Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ShotDiary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pistol Shot Timer ships an update every 13 months, ShotDiary every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
