# Elephas vs BrieFolio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Elephas at every 5 weeks against BrieFolio's every 5 months. Elephas also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elephas sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and BrieFolio sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elephas ships an update every 5 weeks, BrieFolio every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
