# Digital Planner for iPad vs Daily Planner Diary

The clearest difference is monetization model: Daily Planner Diary at free with in-app purchases against Digital Planner for iPad's subscription. Daily Planner Diary also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3). Digital Planner for iPad's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Planner for iPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Daily Planner Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daily Planner Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner for iPad has 2.1K ratings behind it against 126, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of Digital Planner for iPad's written reviews are positive against 50% of Daily Planner Diary's.

Digital Planner for iPad ships an update every 6 days, Daily Planner Diary every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
