# TV Cast + vs PlacePod

The clearest difference is ads: TV Cast + at none against PlacePod's shown. On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Cast + sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year and PlacePod sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
