# PureStatus vs Clear Status

The clearest difference is ads: Clear Status at none against PureStatus's shown. Clear Status also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and review sentiment (61% vs 48%). PureStatus's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 243). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PureStatus sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Clear Status sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.09 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clear Status holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PureStatus has 12K ratings behind it against 243, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of PureStatus's written reviews are positive against 61% of Clear Status's.

PureStatus ships an update every 3 weeks, Clear Status fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
