# Cooking Star vs Bindly

The clearest difference is ads: Bindly at none against Cooking Star's shown. Bindly also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 months). Cooking Star's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cooking Star sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Bindly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Cooking Star against 5.0 for Bindly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cooking Star has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cooking Star ships an update every 5 months, Bindly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
