# Countie vs Countdown

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Countie at none against Countdown's 3. Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Countie asks for nothing beyond the download.

Countie ships an update every 7 months, Countdown every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
