# Lissen vs Cantilever

The clearest difference is monetization model: Lissen at free with in-app purchases against Cantilever's subscription. Lissen also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). Cantilever's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#179 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lissen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.95 per month and Cantilever sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
