# Randomizer! vs Slate

The clearest difference is ads: Slate at none against Randomizer!'s shown. Slate also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Randomizer! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Slate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Randomizer! ships an update every 3 months, Slate every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
