# Rolling Beast vs Nextin

The clearest difference is rating: Rolling Beast at 5.0 against Nextin's 3.4. Rolling Beast also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). Nextin's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and ratings volume (625 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rolling Beast sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Nextin sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rolling Beast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nextin has 625 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Rolling Beast's written reviews are positive against 33% of Nextin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rolling Beast ships an update every 5 days, Nextin fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
