# 500 Life vs Midian

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 500 Life at none against Midian's 2. 500 Life also leads on ratings volume (120 vs 16). Midian's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Midian sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. 500 Life asks for nothing beyond the download.

Midian holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 500 Life has 120 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
