# PicoStar vs Auscultation Teaching

The clearest difference is update cadence: Auscultation Teaching at every 2 weeks against PicoStar's every 7 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicoStar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Auscultation Teaching sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PicoStar ships an update every 7 months, Auscultation Teaching every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
