# Brushes for Procreate! vs Premium Brushes

The clearest difference is ads: Premium Brushes at none against Brushes for Procreate!'s shown. Premium Brushes also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (87% vs 72%). Brushes for Procreate!'s advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brushes for Procreate! sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Premium Brushes sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brushes for Procreate! holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 200 and 112 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Brushes for Procreate!'s written reviews are positive against 87% of Premium Brushes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brushes for Procreate! ships an update monthly, Premium Brushes every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
