# Brushes for Procreate! vs Procreate Brushes Tools

The clearest difference is monetization model: Brushes for Procreate! at free with in-app purchases against Procreate Brushes Tools's subscription. Brushes for Procreate! also leads on ratings volume (198 vs 28). Procreate Brushes Tools's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brushes for Procreate! sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Procreate Brushes Tools sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brushes for Procreate! holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brushes for Procreate! has 198 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Brushes for Procreate!'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Procreate Brushes Tools's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brushes for Procreate! ships an update monthly, Procreate Brushes Tools every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
