# Merge Hooks vs Raft Evolution

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Raft Evolution at 100% against Merge Hooks's 19%. Raft Evolution also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Merge Hooks's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Merge Hooks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Raft Evolution sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Merge Hooks holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Merge Hooks has 4.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Merge Hooks's written reviews are positive against 100% of Raft Evolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Merge Hooks ships an update weekly, Raft Evolution every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
