# SeClock vs Exact Seconds

The clearest difference is rating: SeClock at 4.8 against Exact Seconds's 4.0. Exact Seconds's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 58%) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SeClock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Exact Seconds asks for nothing beyond the download.

SeClock holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of SeClock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Exact Seconds's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SeClock ships an update fortnightly, Exact Seconds every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
