# Vue TV vs ShareShows

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShareShows at every 6 days against Vue TV's every 8 months. ShareShows also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Vue TV's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ShareShows holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vue TV has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vue TV ships an update every 8 months, ShareShows every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
