# Cobalt Image vs Pearla Verana

The clearest difference is rating: Pearla Verana at 4.2 against Cobalt Image's 2.3. Pearla Verana also leads on ratings volume (331 vs 6). Cobalt Image's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 35%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cobalt Image sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Pearla Verana sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pearla Verana holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pearla Verana has 331 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Cobalt Image's written reviews are positive against 35% of Pearla Verana's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cobalt Image ships an update every 5 days, Pearla Verana every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
