# Gen vs ScoreSnap Board

The clearest difference is update cadence: ScoreSnap Board at every 8 days against Gen's every 3 months. ScoreSnap Board also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ScoreSnap Board sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
