# FPPMon vs WLED Pro

The clearest difference is rating: FPPMon at 5.0 against WLED Pro's 4.3. FPPMon also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). WLED Pro's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 2) and review sentiment (9% vs 0%). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WLED Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. FPPMon asks for nothing beyond the download.

FPPMon holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WLED Pro has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of FPPMon's written reviews are positive against 9% of WLED Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FPPMon ships an update every 2 weeks, WLED Pro every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
