# Anthologie vs Met Opera

The clearest difference is ads: Met Opera at none against Anthologie's shown. Met Opera also leads on ratings volume (4.2K vs 2). Anthologie's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Anthologie against 4.9 for Met Opera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Met Opera has 4.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Anthologie ships an update every 10 days, Met Opera fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
