# NimbusWx vs Wildfire Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Wildfire Tracker at 4.5 against NimbusWx's 1.5. Wildfire Tracker also leads on ratings volume (205 vs 2) and review sentiment (46% vs 33%). NimbusWx's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NimbusWx sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Wildfire Tracker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wildfire Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wildfire Tracker has 205 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of NimbusWx's written reviews are positive against 46% of Wildfire Tracker's.

NimbusWx ships an update every 5 days, Wildfire Tracker every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
