# AI Author vs BrainJar AI

The clearest difference is monetization model: BrainJar AI at freemium against AI Author's subscription. BrainJar AI also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). AI Author's advantage is ratings volume (268 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Author sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and BrainJar AI sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
