# AI Answers vs PhotoSolve

AI Answers and PhotoSolve both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 72% of PhotoSolve's written reviews are positive against 29% of AI Answers's. PhotoSolve also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 177) and device support (3 vs 1). AI Answers's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Answers sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and PhotoSolve sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for AI Answers against 4.4 for PhotoSolve. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PhotoSolve has 1.4K ratings behind it against 177, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 29% of AI Answers's written reviews are positive against 72% of PhotoSolve's.

AI Answers ships an update every 3 weeks, PhotoSolve monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
