# DrawBuddy vs Learn Drawing Offline

DrawBuddy and Learn Drawing Offline both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 60% of Learn Drawing Offline's written reviews are positive against 19% of DrawBuddy's. Learn Drawing Offline also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15 vs 17.6). DrawBuddy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DrawBuddy sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Learn Drawing Offline sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for DrawBuddy against 4.5 for Learn Drawing Offline. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrawBuddy has 481 ratings behind it against 92, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of DrawBuddy's written reviews are positive against 60% of Learn Drawing Offline's.

DrawBuddy ships an update every 3 weeks, Learn Drawing Offline every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
