# Chat X vs Addons

The clearest difference is rating: Addons at 4.6 against Chat X's 3.3. Addons also leads on ratings volume (350 vs 3). Chat X's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chat X sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Addons sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Addons holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Addons has 350 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Chat X ships an update monthly, Addons every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
