# Rypstick vs Calcuttafy

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Rypstick at 1.9K against Calcuttafy's 1. Rypstick also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Calcuttafy's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rypstick sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per year and Calcuttafy sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calcuttafy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rypstick has 1.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rypstick ships an update every 2 weeks, Calcuttafy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
