# Chip City vs HG

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Chip City at 2.2K against HG's 7. Chip City also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Chip City against 4.9 for HG. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chip City has 2.2K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Chip City ships an update every 3 weeks, HG every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
