Sudoku Master Pro
Read full descriptionHide full description
Sudoku Master Pro is a quiet, carefully made Sudoku for people who like the logic as much as the numbers. Each puzzle has one solution, and its difficulty is earned, not estimated. After a grid is generated the app solves it the way a person would, with naked and hidden singles, pairs, box–line eliminations and X-Wings, and names it by what it took. Easy and Medium fall to singles alone. Hard needs pairs. Expert asks for a hidden pair or an X-Wing. Evil goes past the known techniques. You always know what a label promises before you start. Hints are honest. A hint places a digit and tells you which technique found it, with the cells it reasoned from lit on the board. If you have written a wrong digit, the hint corrects that first; it never puts a wrong number on the grid. Free play gives every puzzle a small hint budget. The board is made for long sessions. Digits land with a soft spring, a row or box that closes gets a brief sweep, a wrong digit shakes and is marked twice, not just by colour. Notes are pencil marks in the corners, and a single tap writes every candidate into every empty cell; one undo takes them all back. Choose cell-first or digit-first input. With no cell selected, tapping a digit lights every place it already sits. On an iPad keyboard the number keys write, the arrows move and N, H and space do what you expect. A daily puzzle, the same for everyone, each day. Weekends are easy, Fridays evil. Days solved in a row make a streak, and the calendar keeps every past day: the last seven are open to all. The ledger keeps what you did: best and average time per difficulty, the last twelve weeks as a grid of days, recent times, and a list of achievements. Finish a grid and share it as a square print of the solved board with your time. Bring your own puzzle. Type in a grid from the newspaper; the app checks that it has a single solution, grades it, and solves it with you, hints included. Light and dark are designed separately, on four papers: stone, snow, paper and high contrast. Your digits are written in one ink; five inks to choose from. Sounds are the board's own, synthesised and quiet: a tap for a digit, a tick for a note, two wooden notes when a row closes. They follow the silent switch and can be turned off. No account, no ads, no tracking, no network. Sudoku Master Pro collects no data; everything stays on your device. Sudoku Pro is a single one-time purchase: unlimited hints, all five inks, entry from paper and the whole daily archive. No subscription.
