# iPocket Calculator vs Acute Calculator

The clearest difference is update cadence: Acute Calculator at every 2 days against iPocket Calculator's every 10 months. Acute Calculator also leads on ratings volume (116 vs 3) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iPocket Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Acute Calculator sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Acute Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Acute Calculator has 116 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

iPocket Calculator ships an update every 10 months, Acute Calculator every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
