# Shark SMS vs ChatX

The clearest difference is rating: Shark SMS at 5.0 against ChatX's 4.6. Shark SMS also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). ChatX's advantage is ratings volume (482 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shark SMS sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and ChatX sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shark SMS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatX has 482 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Shark SMS's written reviews are positive against 88% of ChatX's.
