# BrAIn vs Gem AI

BrAIn and Gem AI both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Gem AI's written reviews are positive against 56% of BrAIn's. Gem AI also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 370). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrAIn sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Gem AI sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for BrAIn against 4.6 for Gem AI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gem AI has 2.5K ratings behind it against 370, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of BrAIn's written reviews are positive against 75% of Gem AI's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
