# Balo vs RetroClock

The clearest difference is ads: Balo at none against RetroClock's shown. RetroClock's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 35 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Balo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RetroClock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Balo ships an update every 35 months, RetroClock every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
