# 中國象棋 vs Xiangqi

The clearest difference is ads: 中國象棋 at none against Xiangqi's shown. 中國象棋 also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Xiangqi's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 中國象棋 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Xiangqi sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

中國象棋 ships an update every 3 months, Xiangqi every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
