# Fibr vs Gainiac

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gainiac at free against Fibr's ad-supported. Fibr's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Fibr against 5.0 for Gainiac. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fibr has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fibr ships an update every 3 weeks, Gainiac every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
