# iGirl vs Ruby Chat

The clearest difference is ads: iGirl at none against Ruby Chat's shown. iGirl also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days) and review sentiment (72% vs 61%). Ruby Chat's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iGirl sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Ruby Chat sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ruby Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 496 and 337 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of iGirl's written reviews are positive against 61% of Ruby Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iGirl ships an update every 3 days, Ruby Chat every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
