# DLR vs SubFloat

The clearest difference is rating: SubFloat at 4.0 against DLR's 1.0. SubFloat also leads on ratings volume (3 vs 1). DLR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SubFloat holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of DLR's written reviews are positive against 89% of SubFloat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DLR ships an update monthly, SubFloat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
