# Tablo vs split

The clearest difference is review sentiment: split at 100% against Tablo's 20%. split also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.9) and ads (none vs shown). Tablo's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (57 vs 1). On price, update cadence, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. split sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tablo asks for nothing beyond the download.

split holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tablo has 57 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Tablo's written reviews are positive against 100% of split's.

Tablo ships an update every 5 weeks, split every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
