# IELTS Prep vs IELTS Flex

The clearest difference is rating: IELTS Flex at 5.0 against IELTS Prep's 4.6. IELTS Flex also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). IELTS Prep's advantage is ratings volume (34 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTS Prep sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and IELTS Flex sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $68.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IELTS Flex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IELTS Prep has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

IELTS Prep ships an update every 10 days, IELTS Flex fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
