# Spread vs TimbrTV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Spread at none against TimbrTV's 1. Spread also leads on ratings volume (56 vs 3). TimbrTV's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimbrTV sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Spread asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Spread against 5.0 for TimbrTV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spread has 56 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Spread ships an update fortnightly, TimbrTV every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
