# Novel Master vs Pivot Point Books

The clearest difference is rating: Pivot Point Books at 4.8 against Novel Master's 3.8. Pivot Point Books also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Novel Master's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 33%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Novel Master sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Pivot Point Books asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pivot Point Books holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Novel Master has 2.7K ratings behind it against 426, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Novel Master's written reviews are positive against 33% of Pivot Point Books's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Novel Master ships an update weekly, Pivot Point Books every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
